April 2021 Update

From Monday 12th April the clinic will open again and all treatments will be available including facials. Government guidance still asks for hours and duration of treatments to run on a reduced schedule.

Due to the ongoing pandemic situation COVID-19 measures are still in place to ensure that both you as clients and myself are fully protected to prevent/limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please see below:

 

February 2021 Update

The clinic will  reopen again from Monday 1st February on reduced hours and services in line with government guidance during lockdown.  Acupuncture has been reclassified into the healthcare professional category  by Public Health England and therefore classed as a vital medical service. This means that acupuncture treatments only will be available for chronic ongoing conditions, acute pain, fertility and mental health wellbeing.

Welcome Back!

I'm so excited to be able to finally open my door again and welcome you back into the clinic. Balanced Serenity will officially open to clients on the 20th July 2020.

I hope that you are all well and that the past months have seen you safe at home.

My booking system is now up and running once more.  Those that have used the system before will notice some updated changes which, I think make the site look much cleaner and easier to use.  I've also added some passes for those that would like to block book their sessions and the opportunity to purchase virtual gift cards.  There is also now the option to pay for treatment when you book your session.  However, I would like to confirm that I will still be ACCEPTING cash payments.  If you would like to book and pay with cash please select the Pay Later button when booking your session.

Due to the current pandemic situation I have had to make a few changes to ensure that both you as clients and myself are fully protected and all measures are taken to prevent/limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please see below:

  • Guidance suggests that limited contact should be respected where possible.  With this in mind sessions will be limited to 45 minutes.

  • To allow for a sufficient clean down between clients, appointments will be limited.

  • All bookings MUST be made online through the booking system

  • All clients new and current will be asked to fill in a new online consultation form which includes a section relevant to COVID-19.  The form is very user friendly and will be emailed to you once you have booked an appointment. 24hrs before every appointment booked a pre assessment symptoms questionnaire will also be sent given the slow incubation period of the virus.

  • If you answer yes to any of the pre assessment symptoms, unfortunately, your appointment will be cancelled and you are advised to contact either 111 or your GPs surgery for further advice regarding track and trace procedures and to isolate for 14 days. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT ANY NON DISCLOSURE OF POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS NO MATTER HOW MILD COULD SEE THE CLOSURE OF THE CLINIC FOR 14 DAYS.

  • Treatment is NOT advised within 48hrs of receiving a vaccine. Please make sure that you consider this when booking an appointment as treatment will have to be rescheduled and the missed appointment paid for if 48hrs notice has not been given.  

  • If during your treatment I observe any symptoms that could be linked to COVID-19. I am obligated in accordance with health and safety legislation to fill out an incident report which will be kept on your confidential client file to assist with any potential track and trace procedure.  You will also be advised to contact 111 or your GPs surgery for further advice and to isolate for 14 days.

  • Please attend your appointment alone unless prior arrangement has been made for you to attend with a chaperone.

  • When you arrive for your appointment you will be asked to remain in your vehicle until called.  This will enable your contact with door handles and such to remain at a minimum.

  • Once you have removed your coat, shoes etc. you will be asked to wash your hands prior to entering the treatment room.  If you are paying cash for your treatment a box has been provided for you to post your notes into before washing your hands.

  • I ask that all unnecessary items remain in your vehicle and all other items e.g. coat, mobile phone etc will be kept in the waiting area.

  • The main clinic door will now remain locked during treatment.

  • Please make sure that you attend your appointment in clean clothing and showered where possible.

  • Face masks are required at all times whilst inside the clinic unless you are exempt.  In addition to a facemask I will also be wearing a visor when in extreme close proximity i.e.. when working on or near the face/head.

 

I understand that this may seem a lot to take in but it’s my intention to make the new processes as clear as possible so that you can feel relaxed and comfortable when attending your appointment.   Please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you require any clarification or further guidance on the above.
