you touch everything."
- Lao Tzu
KORE Therapy aims to instigate the body's natural response to healing and recovery, to find and work on the root cause of the problem, and not just the symptoms.
After unique and detailed muscle testing to discover and confirm where the problem areas and weaknesses in the body are located, an immune system response is triggered to alert the brain that it's energies need to be focused on those areas of weakness in order for the healing process to begin.
Drawing from various techniques such as energetic releases, cupping, acupuncture, Tui Na massage, Qi Gong and mobilisation, we encourage and coax the body to realign and rebalance.
At the end of a session, we will repeat the muscle testing, and significant changes can be see.
KORE Therapy can - and has - helped people with migraines, back pain, arthritis, candida, sciatica, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, joint pain, insomnia, infertility, stroke recovery, IBS, Crohns Disease, ME, diverticulitis, impotence, stress and anxiety and so much more.
Facial Rejuvenation using Facial Gua Sha and Cosmetic Acupuncture techniques!
If you've ever considered a face-lift, or tried numerous creams and serums, or fillers and injections full of chemicals then you NEED to try this - the results are astounding
These are treatments favoured by the stars and celebrities, but why?
SO WHAT IS GUA SHA?
Well Facial Gua Sha (not to be confused with body Gua Sha) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique which involves gently scraping, rubbing and stroking the skin with small hand-held implements made of semi precious minerals and crystals such as Jade, Rose Quartz and Seleninte. The aim is to improve blood flow, aid collagen production, and to rejuvenate and nourish the skin.
There are no side effects, no chemicals, it is non-invasive and it's a lovely calming procedure which can bring about noticeable changes such as reducing the puffiness and dark circles under the eyes, reducing furrows and wrinkles, improving skin tone, smoothing out the skin, lifting and firming, and reducing double chins and refining face shape.
GUA SHA CONTRAINDICATIONS INCLUDE:
Inflammation of the skin ( rosacea, eczema, severe acne breakouts)
People on blood thinners
Anyone with dermatitis or easily irritated, hyper-sensitive skin should be careful with gua sha. Many people can become easily red or flushed after circulation of a facial massage, but for those who often breakout in rashes or dermatitis-like skin irritation as a result of using new products or from their skin being touched or massaged, it is recommended to wait until the skin is brought into a more stable state before trying gua sha.
People who have had fillers or botox should wait at least three months after their procedure to do facial gua sha on those areas where they received injections. They can do gua sha on other areas, or at least the neck. Releasing the neck is essential for facial work and can even help to create change and improve skin health.
SO WHAT IS COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is similar to body acupuncture, but with extra-fine needles inserted into the points along the face, using specialised acupuncture techniques. However, this isn't merely about the face.
When giving an acupuncture facial, a therapist will focus on promoting the health of the entire body to enhance the appearance of the skin. This method is a unique way of improving the complexion and smoothing out fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
The treatment dramatically increases blood flow accelerating cellular repair. Promoting collagen production the skin is hydrated and toned, boosting the skin's supply of nutrients and oxygen. Giving an overall more youthful, fresh appearance. The Cosmetic acupuncture facial includes Gua Sha
But.....what you're wanting to know is how long it takes and how long it lasts. We recommend on average a weekly treatment for about 6 weeks depending on the desired outcome, person and skin. Then a maintenance treatment every few months. Maintenance treatments can prolong the results 5 to 10 years!
